Our DVT program is designed to bring cost containment DVT programs to our surgery centers and surgical hospitals. Our program allows facilities who do not currently have DVT prevention programs to address risk management issues concerning the risk of DVT’s without additional overhead.
Program Details
- Medical Express, PSI will provide the required number of VenaFlow DVT Machines on a consignment basis.
- Medical Express, PSI will be responsible for ordering and managing the inventory for all disposable SCD sleeves at no cost to the facility.
- Medical Express, PSI as a licensed Medicare approved DME provider will in turn bill the DVT machines and SCD sleeves to the patients’ insurance company.
- Medical Express, PSI will service and maintain the machines on a regular basis and provide any replacements at no charge to the facility.
- Medical Express, PSI will provide a basic vendor agreement of the facilities choice and termination of service will not be bound by contract.
- DVT units are not to leave the facility under any circumstance and Medical Express,PSI will provide rental units upon request.
Billing Procedures and Logistics
A representative of Medical Express, PSI will be responsible for the order, purchase, stock, and inventory management of the SCD sleeves. The bill sheets will picked up weekly for processing or can be mailed to the following address:

Billing Process
- If the patient is in-network, Medical Express,PSI will comply with our insurance and Medicare contracts.
- If the patient is out of network, Medical Express will accept only what the insurance pays*.
- Medical Express will bill insurance providers based on our negotiated contractual agreements or the Medical Allowable rates. Medical Express, PSI adheres to strict Medicare guidelines and bills only according to current DMERC codes.
